The Keller Funnel

The Latest Innovation for Placing Silicone Breast Implants

The Keller Funnel™ was designed to improve delivery of silicone gel implants during breast augmentation procedures. It has many potential benefits to the patient, including:

  • Shorter incision lengths
  • Improved comfort and faster healing
  • "No-touch" technique for increased protection against infection
  • More choices for incision placement
  • Reduced force on the implant
  • Less trauma to patient tissue
Keller Funnel™ Certification Seal of Approval

Dr. Revis is certified by Keller Medical and uses the Keller Funnel in every silicone breast implant procedure he performs, as part of his ongoing effort to continuously improve surgical results for his patients.

What is the Keller Funnel and how is it used?

The Keller Funnel is a device intended to assist with the delivery of pre-filled implants by providing a low friction shell-tissue interface during implant insertion using a no-touch technique to prevent contamination. Cone shaped and made of nylon, the hydrophilic coating inside the funnel becomes extremely slippery when submerged in a saline or sterile solution.

Once the implant is placed inside the funnel, the surgeon places the small distal end into the prepared breast pocket and, using a pushing/squeezing motion, easily propels the implant into place.

The Keller Funnel can be used with all types of silicone breast implants, as well as in transaxial, periareolar and mammary fold insertion procedures.

Is the coating inside the funnel safe?

The inside of the Keller Funnel is coated with LubriLAST™, a patented, proprietary hydrophilic coating manufactured and applied by AST Technologies. LubriLAST passes all stringent biocompatibility tests associated with tissue and blood contacting devices.
